What is a certificate of Limited Partnership?
It’s a certificate or document created and signed by all the persons who want to form a limited partnership. This document must contain all the information required under Section 51(2) of the Partnership Act.
How do you register A LIMITED PARTNERSHIP?
You will need to provide the following:
- The name of the LLP
- Proof that the LLP carries on the practice of an eligible profession
- Proof that there is either one or two representative partners in Alberta
- Proof that the registered address and, if present, the address for service by mail, is in Alberta
- The originating jurisdiction – for extra-provincial limited liability partnership registrations
- Proof that professional endorsement has been provided
- Proof that the proof of status from the home jurisdiction is present – for extra-provincial limited liability partnership registrations
